I Wear My Campaign On My Sleeve - Crowdfunding With TeeSpring

I've been thinking a lot lately about crowdfunding.  Especially with it being Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Plus, my family has been hit hard by cancer so its always in the back of my mind.   I've had many people close to me who have been considering fundraising for various causes lately whether it be cancer or to raise awareness for a certain cause.  Some have tried those fundraising and donation websites.  There are so many to choose from and sometimes they are successful and sometimes they're not.  It seems like when people want to support a cause, they are more likely to get involved more actively rather than just chipping in a donation.

Several years back my husband and I had a very close friend who was in a terrible accident.  The community joined together for a fundraising event to help raise money for his medical care.  One thing the group did was create t-shirts, sold them and used the money for his care.  It had a great turn out from what I remember but I had no idea how the shirts were made.

Well, I discovered a great website that can help you create and sell shirts for your cause!  And not only can you create your t-shirts using the website but they handle a lot of the work for you!

Its called Teespring!

The way Teespring works is, you design your t-shirt using they super easy design template.  You can upload your own image or artwork or you can choose from their gallery.  Add you own text and choose from a variety of shirt styles and colors.

Once your design is complete, you set a goal for the number of shirts you want to sell or the amount of money you want to raise.  Type up a description of your campaign and decide how long you'll run it.

Then, once all of that is complete, you get a custom link to your campaign page that you can share with your friends, family and on social media pages to bring awareness to your cause and let people purchase your shirts.  Supporters can choose to have the shirts shipped directly to them or there is the option of allowing yours supporters to pick shirts up from you!

So simple and such a great way to raise money and awareness for a cause!  And not only can you do crowdfunding for causes and awareness to things such as cancer, illness and challenges but you can also crowdfund to start a business, raise money for your school, bring awareness to art and music or to fund a project.

You don't have any out of pocket costs with Teespring, you don't have to keep track of inventory, you don't have to take orders and worry about shipping or delivering and the design possibilities are endless.  This couldn't get any easier!  You'll definitely want to try Teespring for your next campaign!

Visit Teespring's website to start your own campaign!  You can also connect with Teespring on Facebook and Twitter!

  1. This is my type of fundraising! I am NOT a seller, and I hate to peddle products. Being able to add a url to a website or post on facebook with the link is right up my alley. There domestic rates are excellent and the international rates aren't bad either. This would be a great way to raise money for missions.
