Glow Bug Cloth Diaper Review & GIVEAWAY!!!

November is almost over and that means
Thankful For Cloth Month is coming to a close.
And in celebration of a whole month of cloth,
I'd love to tell you about Glow Bug Cloth Diapers
...AND there is also a chance for you to win one too!

Glow Bug Cloth Diapers are easy to use, super affordable and the prints are super cute!

Glow Bug sent us a cloth diaper to try and we love it.  Its great because the fit is very trim and it isn't super bulky, which we love.  And they have this great gusset system the helps hold in all of those icky baby messes!  Its called the 360 Degree Gusset!   The print that they sent us is great too.  I think it looks like poinsettias so this will be our official Christmas diaper!

The sizing is super easy because the front of the diaper has a snap down rise to adjust the fit and the snaps are really heavy duty.  It drives me crazy when cloth diapers have snaps that come undone super easy.  Emma has gotten to that point where she can undo some hook and loop diapers and shes gotten a few snap diapers undone because the snaps are not super secure.  But the Glow Bug snaps are tight and secure so theres no chance of Emma getting her diaper off on her own.  Which is super good for momma not to have to chase naked baby around the house!

Glow Bug cloth diapers also have extra wing snaps to help prevent wing droop.  I'm not a fan of wing droop so I'm a big fan of the extra snaps!  They also come with a soft and absorbent microfiber insert.
Be sure to check out Glow Bug Cloth Diapers online!  You can also LIKE Glow Bug Cloth Diapers on Facebook, follow them on Twitter and follow them on Pinterest!

And as I mentioned earlier, you have a chance
to win a Glow Bug Cloth Diaper!

Show Me Your Stash Storage! A Photographic Guide to How Real Moms Store & Organize Their Cloth Diapers

Since becoming a momma and a cloth diaper momma, I've joined quite a few social media groups and forums relating to cloth diapers.  I'm finding that the best source of information and advice comes from others mommas that have been there, been through it and found the best way to do it, whatever it may be.

So my go-to source for all things cloth diaper other cloth diaper mommas!  Lately I've seen the same reoccurring question...."How do you ladies store and organize your cloth diapers?"

A simple concept but a complex one at the same time.  Organization can be simple and a big pain in the behind.  In my experience, cloth diapering can be stressful if you don't have a good system going.  And I think keeping your cloth diapers, accessories and all of the fluffy stuff organized can make a big difference in whether or not you stick to it or give up.

So I decided, that as a cloth diaper momma, I wanted to see what other moms were doing!  Maybe get some ideas, some inspiration, have an "Ah ha!" moment!  And maybe even help share some new and fun ideas with other moms to inspire your cloth diaper storage and organization!

So with the help of some fabulous fluff mommas, I've put together a gallery of cloth diaper storage and organization ideas to help you come up with the perfect method for your little one's fluff!

Here is what we are doing!

We purchased a cheap cubby shelf from Menards for I think around $30 or so, then purchased cloth totes in cute animal prints from Target for about $10 per tote.

The totes fit perfectly in the cubes and I have separate totes if I want to keep my diaper brands or styles separate, which I do sometimes.  But honestly, I'm always rearranging and changing it up.  I have a tote for extra inserts and soakers, one for fleece liners and bum care products!

I also have a separate tote that I use for fitteds and covers.

I also love this cubby because when Emma Bee gets a bit bigger and isn't in diapers, she can use the animal totes for toys, books or even clothes!   We also keep baskets of Emma's cloth diapers inside the cabinets of her changing table.

I also have a shelf just above her changing table, far enough up so she cant kick or grab it.  I use this to put some bum care products and our cloth wipes stash.  I make 100% cotton flannel cloth wipes and love them.  So much better than disposables, better for Emma's sensitive skin and they save us a lot money.  I use a peri bottle with plain water to wet them.

Here is what Logan from Florida and her cloth lovin hubby are doing to organize their cloth stash!

Logan and her hubby purchased an IKEA dresser to use to store their large cloth diaper stash!  She keeps all of their diapers in the large drawers.

But since the drawers are so large and spacious, to keep their diapers from flopping around and to keep them organized by brand, they use these great bins that they also purchased from IKEA!  Logan is an organization guru and even keeps her stash organized by brand in alphabetical order.   This is fantastic!  I know who to get in touch with if I ever need some organization tips!

Logan's dresser also works great for their changing station.  Logan and her husband have a great video on Youtube where they talk more in depth about their cloth diaper stash and their changing area and storage.   I love how enthusiastic Logan's husband is about their cloth diapers!  Its great to see a daddy getting into cloth!

Here is what the fabulous Megan Euler has done with her stash!

Megan and I would get along great in my opinion because I'm a lover of all things vintage and antique!  Megan actually repurposed a gorgeous antique book case as her cloth diaper storage case.

The book case belonged to Megan's mother and is perfect for storing cloth!  As you can see, the depth is the perfect depth for stacking cloth diapers and for a cloth wipes stash!  Not only has Megan found a unique and lovely way to store her cloth diapers, but now she has an amazing family heirloom to pass on.

I've seen old book cases like this in antiques stores before and drooled over how amazing one would look in my house but it never dawned on me to use one for storing diapers.

Brilliant and fabulously done momma Megan!

For those of you that love DIY projects, this momma has a great method that you'll love to duplicate! Amber and her super helpful and handy husband from Pensacola, Florida created this cool wall storage for a bargain price!

Amber and her husband bought some woven baskets at Joann's for a steal!  They managed to find them on sale for only around $7.50 a piece!  Her husband used Rust-Oleum paint +primer to spray paint the baskets the perfect colors for their baby's room!

But, because these are baskets and it may be difficult to keep them secured to the wall with diapers stored in them, he had pieces of plexiglass cut at the local hardware store for about $6 total for the six baskets, to place inside each basket and then attached them to the wall with screws.  Such a clever guy!

And viola!  What a great way to store your diapers with easy access to them while you're changing baby!  And for such a great price too.  This is a fun, creative and low cost project that your mommy friends will be jealous of!  And the baskets are the perfect size for diapers.

So I hope these wonderful mommas have given you a little creative spark and some inspiration for your cloth diaper storage and organization!

I'd love to add more ideas and photos so if you have stash storage that you'd love to show off, email me your photos to

Thank you to all of the lovely mommas and their hubbies for their creative contributions and willingness to share their ideas and techniques!

Super Simple Holiday Safety Tips

The holiday season is finally here!

And this year will be our baby's first Christmas!

Now that were parents and have a baby to celebrate the holidays with this year, we have to completely change the way we do things.  Like decorating for example!

We can't go about decorating in the same way we used to and honestly, we probably weren't practicing the safest holiday decorating strategies.  As a parent, I'm discovering so many ways we can make our holidays safer for us and safer for our baby!

The holidays are a time of year that seem to bring up a surge of home accidents and injuries related to holiday decorating.   Live Christmas trees are usually the first culprit you think of when you hear about holiday accidents and home fires for instance.  Did you know that 30% of all home fires occur between the months of December and February?  And live trees are not always the reason behind these.  Incorrectly using extension cords, faulty wires and not using power strips and surge protects contribute to these accidents!  Not to mention the use of burning candles and using the wrong types of lights when decorating.

Here are some super simple safety tips to celebrating a safe and happy holiday season:

Tip #1:
Use flameless candles instead of burning candles!  I will admit, I am notorious for forgetting that I have a candle burning. I don't often burn candles so remembering to blow them out after some time is something I forget.  A great way to minimize your risk of a fire from burning candles, use battery operated ones!  You don't have the safety risk of fires, you wont have to worry about little hands getting a hold of a hot candle and you don't have to worry about the mess of melted wax.

Tip # 2:
Always use an ESFI approved surge protector when plugging in multiple electric holiday decorations.  Never connect several extension cords or load an outlet with multiple plugs and extensions.  By using one surge protector, you can protect your homes electrical system, your possessions and have an easy way to turn decorations such as lights, on and off.

Tip #3
Use LED lights!  Incandescent lights can generate heat.  But LED lights are cool to the touch and can minimize the chance of fire.  Plus, LED lights are much more energy efficient so the life of your lights will be much longer and save you money in the long run.   LED lights are made with epoxy lenses, not glass.  This makes them much more durable and minimizes your risk of cuts or other injuries if they do break.

I learned all of these great holiday safety tips from

LANACare Wool Diaper Covers/Soakers From Danish Woolen Delight - Product Review

My 8 month old is a very heavy wetter.  She also sleeps through the whole night.  So I've been on a hunt for a great night time cloth diaper solution to help keep her dry.  Many mornings, we wake her up and her tummy is soaked from a long night in the same diaper.  I've heard a lot of mom's talking about wool and was really curious and wanted to try it.

Danish Woolen Delight

Danish Woolen Delight sent me a LANACare Wool Diaper Cover to try!  It has been a great night time solution for us!  And its great during the day too.

LANACare Wool Diaper Covers from Danish Woolen Delight are made with pure natural felted organic merino wool!  They are so soft and really absorbent.    And not only do they keep Emma warm at night now that winter is here, but they are also breathable so she doesn't get overheated.   The wool is also so gentle on her skin and doesn't cause any irritation or red marks.  The natural lanolin in the wool acts as an odor eliminator and has self cleaning properties which is pretty cool in my opinion.

We have never NEVER had a single leak, any time Emma has worn this cover.  Never have her pajamas been wet in the morning and when shes wearing her LANACare cover during the day, shes always dry.

I still cant believe how soft it is.  Anytime I mention a wool diaper to someone, they immediately get this cringed look on their face and assume that its itchy, but no!  So soft and smooth.  The construction is great and the stitching is firm so I know this will last us a long time and I know this will last us through multiple babies.

The LANACare Wool Diaper cover from Danish Woolen Delight also has an adjustable waist.   It comes in several different sizes ranging from Extra Small all the way up to Extra Large, but to give you the optimum performance while you're using your cover, the waist has an adjustable elastic band within the waist band so you can adjust it to fit your baby perfectly!

LANACare wool diaper covers are a great investment for cloth diapering parents and I would highly recommend you try them!

Danish Woolen Delight carries lots of other great wool products so be sure to check out their website to see all of the other great products they carry!   Be sure to LIKE Danish Woolen Delight on Facebook too!  You can also follow Danish Woolen Delight on Twitter!

Green Line Diapers Review

My favorite type of businesses are the small family owned and operated businesses.  Maybe its because my dream would be for my husband and I to be home together running our own business.  Maybe someday but for now, I'll introduce you to one of my favorites.  Its Green Line Diapers!  Now, I'm sure you have probably seen these online at some point and wondered about them.  Or heard someone talking about them!  They're really cool and super unique!  And we really like them!

Green Line Diaper

Green Line Diapers sent us one of their covers and an insert to try and I was really impressed!
Green Line Diapers have this cool way of adjusting the legs!  Instead of having elastic in the legs, which often wears out and needs to be replaced over time, Green Line diapers have a drawstring cord and lock system in each leg so you can adjust the legs as your baby grows!  I was skeptical at first but after using my Green Line diaper, I really love it!  I also love the hook and loop closure on these!  Emma has gotten big enough where she can undo some hook and loop diapers but Green Line diapers has really heavy duty tabs so they don’t come undone with little hands.

And the prints are so cute!  They use a cotton layer to allow for a wide variety of adorable prints!  The inside lining of the diaper is a coordinating color so you fold over the top of the back of the diaper for an extra pop of coordinating color!  They are really cute! Another unique thing about Green Line diapers is that they don't have PUL! But they are fully waterproof because they use a breathable waterproof layer of fabric!  We didn’t have any leaks while using our Green Line diaper!

The insert is super super soft!  The Green Line insert actually looks like a flat cloth diaper so you can fold the insert in several different ways to make it work just perfectly for your little one. Its also made from bamboo cotton which is why its amazingly soft and really absorbent!

If you're looking for a unique, cute and well functioning cloth diaper cover, then I would definitely recommend you give Green Line Diapers a go!

Is your baby a genius? A...BUMgenius?

If you ask any experienced cloth diaper mom….”what do you recommend for a great cloth diaper brand”…’ll consistently hear one name come up!   BumGenius!

You may remember my review of the bumGenius Freetime All InOne Cloth Diaper last month!  But just in case you missed it, I wanted to take a minute to re-feature these great diapers and fill you in on my we love them!

All In One cloth diapers are one of our favorite styles because of the simplicity and reliability!  They are quick, easy and we can trust our favorite All In One brands to hold up well and keep my baby girl dry!

The bumGenius Freetime All In One is great because there are several layers of absorbency, they are soft, well made and durable and they are adjustable so Emma can get a lot of use out of them!

Moraki Organic All In One Cloth Diaper Review & GIVEAWAY!

Its Thankful For Cloth Month at The Bee Hive Buzz and I am celebrating our favorite cloth diapers!

Our cloth journey has been amazing and we've discovered so many great products, great companies and brands and discovered a lot of amazing moms out there!   Some of my favorite cloth diaper businesses are those that started with a mom and started because a mom wanted the best for her own babies and wanted to share the best with others.  And that's why I want to introduce you to MorakiMoraki cloth diapers are momma made with love and pride in the USA!  San Diego, California to be exact!

Moraki sent us one of their Organic All In One Cloth Diapers to try and I love it!
The prints and colors are just to die for!

Moraki sent us the Hippie print which my husband loves!  He has a thing for tie-dye and was thrilled when this diaper arrived!

I love the natural fibers!  The diaper lining and attached soaker is name of natural Hemp/Organic Cotton fleece.  And the diaper is super absorbent!  We love All In Ones!  They are just easy as pie and since everything is all connected in one diaper, my husband doesn’t have to worry about putting the wrong inserts with the wrong diaper.  You just grab it, put it on baby’s bum and you're good to go.  Simple as that!  AND Moraki diapers don't need to be prepped!  Baby can wear them as soon as they arrive!

Moraki also has cloth diapers with heart shaped snaps and multi color snaps!  They are so cute!

The great thing about the attached insert is that you can adjust it and fold it in different ways to allow for more absorbency in different areas of the diaper so you can make it work better for boys or girls.  I really like this as a night time diaper because I can make the insert more concentrated in the front since Emma sleeps on her tummy and she sleeps through the night.  She gets more absorbency in the front while shes on her tummy all night and it keeps her pajamas dry till morning which is great for her!  We haven’t had a single leak yet!

Oh and Moraki also offers a 30 day risk free Wash & Wear Guarantee!  AND they have an 18 month warranty but who needs either because these diapers are great!  No way you'll want to return them and they are high quality and made to last!

Now that you know a little bit about our beloved Moraki diaper, you should probably know a little bit about Moraki.  We don't just love Moraki because the diapers are fabulous.  I'm sure you know all about my love for momma made companies.  Those companies that all started because a momma loved her babies and wanted the best for them.  Well Moraki is one of those amazing momma made, family owned and operated businesses that was founded on love, superb quality standards and good values.  That's one of the reason I love Moraki and why I urge you to support this family business.

Moraki started with Charlie, the mom behind Moraki Cloth Diapers and her desire to protect her babies and our Earth.  She had four priorities in mind when setting out on this amazing cloth adventure....
The diapers had to stand up to baby messes and had to contain them.
The cuteness factor!
It had to fit a newborn baby all the way through potty learning.
And Fourth
Its construction must be from as many American made components as possible!

Another big Moraki priority to to be as eco-friendly as possible, using recycled shipping and packaging materials with minimal product packaging and business cards printed on recycled paper!  AND in the future Moraki plans on releasing more eco-friendly family products like fitted cloth diapers, prefolds, flats, wet bags, cloth napkins, sandwich bags, mama cloth, family cloth, and more!  Note to Moraki.....I'm a mama cloth momma so when your mama cloth debuts, I wanna be the first to know about it!!!

So would I recommend Moraki?  Obviously!!!!   Trust me….. you’ll love Moraki cloth diapers!  Give them a shot!

Be sure to check out Moraki Cloth Diapers online and take a look at all of the other adorable prints and styles!  You can also LIKE Moraki on Facebook and follow Moraki on Twitter!
