I recently tried Cleopatra's Choice Pure Shea Butter. The first thing I noticed when I opened the one pound tub, was the consistency. Some shea butter is crumbly and sort of gritty in a way. But Cleopatra's choice was smooth and creamy when pressed between your fingers. It rubbed into the skin smoothly and was moist, not dry. Thats good quality! One thing to point out about pure shea butter....its not lotion! Its nothing like lotion. Now, Cleopatra's Shea Butter can be used to make lotions, soaps and body butter but in its pure form, its a solid. It can be worked into the skin and hair as is or made into other products. I like it in its pure form.
Cleopatra's Choice is made form hand selected nuts from shea trees in Ghana. It contains Vitamin A, Vitamin E and F and doesn't clog your pores. I used this on my daugther's skin when it got dry and on a couple of rashes. Shes had a crazy cold lately and has been breaking out on her chin and cheeks from so much nose wiping. So I used this on her skin and it cleared the rash right up. I also used this as a moisturizer for me and loved it. Another great use for this is stretch marks. As a mom, I am no stranger to stretch marks. Even though most stretch marks never completely go away, shea butter is great for healing and soothing the redness with stretch marks making them less visible. This shea butter doesn't need to be reapplied constantly like most lotions do and its natural so there are no harmful additives and no artificial ingredients. Its also organic!
