What I liked about the Grill Lantern was the fact that I can move it around. I don't have to install it in one spot and leave it there. We've got a medium sized charcoal grill on wheels so our grill isn't always sitting in the exact same spot when we use it so being able to move the light around was nice. We just clamped it to the railing on our porch. Our porch is up a bit so this worked out because the lantern acted like a spot light and we could aim it right at the grill. The light isn't blinding or too overpowering and that was actually a good thing in my opinion. It was bright enough to illuminate the grill so we could see if our food was done.
Its got 10 super bright LED lights and swivels 180 degrees horizontally and vertically for full coverage of your grill. Its also heat-resistant which is obviously good. Would be kind of a bummer if it wasn't right? And it only takes 3 AA batteries. It does come with batteries but once these are done, I'm going to use some rechargables. The on/ off button is a little touch sensor. So nothing tricky to getting this thing turned on. Just barely touch with sensor and it turns on. I would definitely buy another one of these if this one ever burns out. Its worth it! If you're needing something like this on your patio or even camping. This would be great for camping and cooking outdoors in the dark!
