Making Homemade Nut Milk With The Ecosak Nut Bag

We enjoy nut milk but I've never actually made my own.  I've heard of people doing it but didn't realize it was a fairly easy process.  I saw this nut bag made by Ecosak and thought it might be fun!

So what is the Ecosak Nut Bag and what the heck do you do with it you ask?  Well, its a custom made nylon mesh bag that is designed for making nut milks.  It works much much better than cheese cloth and is super soft but still really durable at the same time.  They are versatile too and can be used for other purposes around your kitchen such as soaking, straining, juicing and sprouting just to name a few.  This nut bag is FDA certified food-grade mesh so its perfectly safe to use for food preparation.  It's BPA free and non-porous so it wont harbor odors or bacteria so its a much safer and greener choice than other materials.  Its also easy to clean.  Plus, when you order it you get a free ebook filled with tips and recipes for making different nut milks.

I used mine for making grape jelly.   We went out foraging for wild grapes and I needed something to strain out the skin and seeds to keep the juice.  My metal mess strainer had holes that were too large and Ive used cheese cloth before but it didn't work well.  So I tried the Ecosak nut bag and it worked so much better!  Plus it was the perfect size to drape inside my pitcher so straining my grape juice for my jelly was a breeze and didn't make a huge mess like when I used the cheese cloth.  I'm going to have to order and couple more of these bags to have on hand for other things!  Making nut milk is great but these have so many great purposes in addition to making nut milk!

If you want to give it a go, you can order your own Ecosak Nut Milk Bag on the Ecosak website or on Amazon!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
