My Baby's Got Smart Bottoms! Smart Bottoms Smart One 3.1 AIO Organic Cloth Diaper Review + GIVEAWAY!

My baby's got Smart Bottoms!  Smart Bottoms Cloth Diapers that is.   I guess you can call her a SMARTy pants.  I am so proud to be a cloth diaper mom!  I love talking about cloth diapers, love using them on my baby and love seeing other parents inspired to try them too.  And I especially love telling all my friends and family about our favorite cloth diapers brands.  One diaper that we are new to and definitely new fans of, is the Smart Bottoms Smart One 3.1 All-In-One Organic Cloth Diaper!

The fantastic Smart Bottoms team sent us one of their Smart One 3.1 diapers to try.  I was so excited when it came!   The print is just to die for. Not only do I absolutely LOVE plaid.....but look closer!

Its not just an adorable plaid.....its like a multicolored plaid hounds tooth!  The mamas in my babywearing group are going to love this diaper.  Some of my babywearing mommy friends have an intense undying love for hounds tooth.  But all hounds tooth aside, that's not the only cool thing about our Smart One 3.1.

I love AIOs (All-In-Ones).  They are just so convenient!  When Emma's Daddy is helping with diaper laundry, he often gets hung up on the stuffing part.  Hes got big daddy hands and sometimes has trouble getting his hands in pockets to stuff.  He also gets pretty stressed out when he has to figure out what inserts go with what.  I always used to tell him that for most of them, it doesn't matter too much but he'd still get flustered.  So AIOs are awesome because its all there, in one diaper and you don't have to decide what goes with what.  Great for relatives that aren't used to cloth diapering day after day too!

I really love the lining of this diaper.  Its really soft and smooth.  The lining is made of 100% certified organic cotton but the cool thing is that there are 10 layers of organic cotton to make this diaper really absorbent.  The smooth organic cotton reminds me of a broken in tshirt.  Its really soft against my baby's bum.  This has become one of my favorite diapers for nighttime because of the fact that its so soft and the fact that its so stretchy.  My baby is a tosser.  She tosses around in her sleep constantly so having a diaper that stretches to accommodate her crazy sleeping positions is something you don't always think about.  Some diapers are too stiff and she ends up with marks on her tummy if she sleeps curled up in a ball for too long.  But this one is so soft, stretchy and has nice wide leg elastics so she doesn't end up with red marks.

The fully attached insert is also made up of layers of organic cotton and you can fold it up to customize your absorbency.  Fold it more in the front or center, depending on what your baby needs.  You could still add an extra insert if you needed it but Emma is a heavy wetter and we were able to use this diaper on its own without having any leaks.  We tested it at nighttime too and she did great in it.  She didn't have any leaks by morning.

Its a one size diaper too so its got a snap down rise made up of sturdy, good quality snaps.  They snaps are good and secure!  That's the extra awesome factor.  Some diapers I've tried have snaps that easy come unsnapped.  That's fine for me but once your toddler figures out how to undo snaps, you suddenly find your house being taken over by teeny tiny spontaneously naked person and sometimes its not always cute.   Emma knows how to get snaps undone. But so far, she hasn't managed to get her Smart Bottoms off.  So these snaps are good and snapped so mama doesn't have to worry.

And since its one size, your baby can wear this diaper from 10 pounds to potty learning.  I love one size diapers because I can use them for the entire time my baby is in diapers.  And not only does cloth diapering save money over disposables but it saves me money not having to buy bigger sizes later on.  Cloth diapers for the win!

This diaper is not bulky either which is a huge plus for me.  Cloth diapers don't always work so well with certain styles of pants.  And now its November in Iowa.  We've already had our first heavy snow fall and we've had a full cover of snow for a week now.  Its been freezing out so pants are mandatory.  This diaper works great with pants because the design is so trim.  My kiddo doesn't have what looks like such a big booty in this diaper like some others.   It dried pretty quickly too.  Its got several layers of the organic cotton but its slim because the cotton is thin.  Its still crazy absorbent but the cotton dries really fast which is super awesome since we air dry all of our diapers.

Overall, I was really happy with this diaper.  I'm hoping to get a few more soon because I love the diaper and there are several other prints I'm just dying to have.  They have some really nice solid colors too.  And the diapers all have different contrasting snap colors.  I love colored snaps!  I would definitely recommend trying this diaper!  We've become big fans of these diapers and I've heard a lot of moms talk about how much they love the diapers and the service.  It seems like Smart Bottoms just has a really great reputation for great products and great service.  And did you know that Smart Bottoms is 100% made in the US?  Awesome right!  And they offer free shipping on all regular prices items on their website.  So many reasons to love!  So many good reasons to order too.
