Organic Sprouting Seeds Review

I am an avid gardener and love growing my own produce to feed my family.  Gardening and growing things is my favorite hobby and something I've been doing for years.  Whether its growing a huge garden out back behind our house, growing my own wheat grass in doors or sprouting my own seeds for fresh sprouts.  I love it all!

I was given the opportunity to review some organic sprouting seeds.  These seeds are for growing your own fresh sprouts.   I'm sure you've had sprouts at some point or another.  Spouts are delicious on salads on sandwiches.  Typically the ones you see in the produce market are alfalfa or clover.  This seed pack came with broccoli, mustard and beet.  I was excited to try these seeds but was pretty disappointed with the outcome and total lack of customer service.  I have sprouted seeds before with lots of success.  So I used my regular jar method.  Its easy.  You use a clean glass mason jar, pour in your seeds and cover the opening with cheese cloth.  You rinse your seeds regularly and over the course of just a few days, your seeds will sprout.  Rinsing depends on the type of seed as far as how often you rinse.

I started these seeds and they sat in the jar with no change for more than a week.  I sent____ a message asking for some advice.  Like I said, I've sprouted seeds before and never had any trouble.  The response I got was no help what so ever.  The response was basically that I was either doing it wrong or my equipment was dirty.  I replied that my method was successful when using other seeds.  I heard nothing else back.  Not another response.  No customer service at all.  I was not impressed.  I have a real pet peeve for when a company immediately blames the customer rather than taking into consideration that it may possibly be the product.  Doing a little chatting and troubleshooting can usually find a solution with anything.  But just telling a customer that its their fault and refusing to offer any other advice, is unprofessional.  After about 10 days, I dumped the seeds that still had not done anything, started over with seeds from a different company.  Those ones sprouted just fine in no time!  So, based on seeds that did not grow and customer service that was pretty much non-existent, I would not recommend purchasing these seeds.  But thats just me.

I was provided with a sample free of charge to facilitate this review.  All opinions are my own based on my experience.

  2. How awful that they would not help you with the seeds not sprouting! I think that this is not right! I have not grown sprouts from seeds but I know that they have to be rinsed at a certain point. I would like to try this some time!
